We believe that “Happy Employees Make Happy Clients“, and this belief underscores our commitment to employee well-being. Our dedication doesn’t stop there; we extend our responsibility to our communities, actively participating in initiatives that uplift and strengthen the neighborhoods we serve. With a steadfast commitment to social responsibility and sustainable practices, choosing Excelsior means supporting a movement that values people, community, and a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
Embarking on the journey of starting a small business brings numerous challenges and valuable lessons. Recognizing the significance of diverse backgrounds and perspectives for the success of our company and society, I’ve come to understand that waiting for progress is insufficient.
In 2020, we assessed our company’s success, noting achievements in serving women and minority-led businesses. However, we recognized a critical gap in racial and ethnic diversity within our team. Shifting from passive to active recruiting, we proactively sought candidates from underrepresented communities, revealing a need for broader efforts to address systemic disparities.
In response to stark statistics revealing the lack of diversity in accounting professions, we’re committed to addressing systemic issues at their roots. We’re actively engaging with students from underrepresented communities, volunteering with Cincinnati Public Schools and offering $25,000 in scholarships over four years to support aspiring accountants from underrepresented communities. Your insights, whether critical or supportive, are invaluable as we strive to enhance our efforts and make a lasting impact.
We stand by the belief that to attract the best talent, you must treat them exceptionally well. We prioritize work/life balance, support causes our employees are passionate about, and generously compensate them by funneling the majority of our profits directly into their pockets. When you choose Excelsior, you’re not just getting exceptional service – you’re directly contributing to the well-being and livelihoods of our dedicated employees.
At Excelsior, our dedication to community impact is tangible. For every full workday, nonprofit clients receive one free hour of our services, meaning a full-time employee can offer nearly two months of complimentary support annually. Additionally, we allocate 1% of our gross revenues yearly, empowering each employee to direct contributions to their chosen charitable causes.
Uncover the Excelsior advantage as we chart a course to your financial peace of mind, blending expertise and personalized strategies for your unique business needs.
